Pist.On: Number One (Fierce)

After hangin' around the Brooklyn scene for the last five years, Pist.On have finally put out their debut - choosing Futurist as Number One's home. The music is a fine display of heavy, chugging power-groove metal with some mellow intros/breaks and nifty melodic sections. All of which add more calibre to Pist. On's tunage. Lyrically, the band are emotionally pissed off at life in general (fuck, man, who isn't?). You must check out their super-brilliant and ultra-heavy version of The Smith's "Shoplifters of the World Unite" - it rocks! Pist.On are a band that can (and do) appeal to a lot of people and as they move forward I can see them getting big.
