AWOL
ABSENT WITHOUT LEAVE

File: Pist.On
Subject: Val Ium, bassist

What have you been doing since we last saw you?
"Touring! Driving over miles and miles of empty road and playing gigs with Queensrÿche, Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies, Fu Manchu, Deftones and then our own headline shows as well. We've been busy."
What was it like touring with scary punk legends the Misfits?
"We really enjoyed playing with the Mistfits, but their fans entertained us more by making death threats and calling us a 'cheesy heavy metal band'. It was quite strange at first because I'd never heard a single Misfits record before we did those shows, but now I have discovered the entire world of Misfits music and I've got every album they've done.

"The Misfits themselves are all really cool guys, apart from the singer who's a complete dick! He has a terrible attitude problem and we ended up in a brawl. I tried to apologise to him afterwards but he was too terrified to let me!"
When can we epect to see a new Pist.On album?
"We've already started writing some songs, but it is different. Henry's got into the current ska thing (she's lying ... Ed) and since everyone else seems to be so anti-80s heavy metal, we're thinking of growing our hair out and getting into some spandex ( ... she's lying again)."
